WPL 2027 tickets are not on sale yet: the BCCI has not announced a booking date, ticket prices or a ticketing partner for the fifth season, which runs from 14 January to 7 February 2027. Going by past seasons, expect prices to start at ₹100, and expect sales to open in December 2026; for WPL 2026, booking opened on 26 December 2025 at 6:00 PM IST, exactly 14 days before the first ball.
This page will be updated the day booking starts. Until then, here is everything that is confirmed, everything that is not, and what four seasons of WPL ticketing tell us about how 2027 will go.

WPL 2027 Ticket Booking Date: Where Things Stand
The honest answer to “when do WPL 2027 tickets go on sale” is that nobody outside the BCCI knows yet. The board has fixed the tournament window and the auction date, but it has not released the fixture list, confirmed the host cities or named a ticketing agency. Tickets cannot go on sale before all three of those are in place.
That sequence matters, because it tells you what to watch for. In the 2026 cycle, the auction was held on 27 November 2025, the full schedule followed two days later on 29 November, and ticket sales opened on 26 December. The BCCI announced the ticketing partner and the sale time in a media release on 25 December, just one day before booking went live.
So the practical checklist for WPL 2027 looks like this:
| Step | 2026 cycle date | 2027 cycle status |
|---|---|---|
| Tournament window announced | 27 Nov 2025 | Done (14 Jan to 7 Feb 2027) |
| Player auction | 27 Nov 2025 | Scheduled for 28 Oct 2026 |
| Full schedule and venues | 29 Nov 2025 | Pending |
| Ticketing partner named | 25 Dec 2025 | Pending |
| Tickets on sale | 26 Dec 2025, 6:00 PM IST | Pending |
Watch out for pages that list “confirmed” WPL 2027 ticket prices or booking links right now. Until the BCCI or the official WPL website (wplt20.com) publishes them, any figure you see is an estimate, including the ones on this page, which we have clearly marked as predictions.

WPL Ticket Price History: 2023 to 2026
The single most useful clue about WPL 2027 ticket prices is how stable they have been. Across four seasons, four different venue setups and two different ticketing partners, the entry-level ticket has started at ₹100 every single year. Few things in Indian cricket are that consistent.
| Season | Host cities | Ticketing partner | Reported price range | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| WPL 2023 | Mumbai (DY Patil, Brabourne) | BookMyShow | Free for women and girls; ₹100, ₹250 and ₹400 for men | All 22 matches in Mumbai |
| WPL 2024 | Bengaluru, Delhi | BookMyShow | From ₹100 in Bengaluru (reports put the top price at ₹200) | RCB vs UP Warriorz sold out early |
| WPL 2025 | Vadodara, Bengaluru, Lucknow, Mumbai | BookMyShow, WPL app | From ₹100 | Stadium box offices also sold tickets |
| WPL 2026 | Navi Mumbai, Vadodara | District (Zomato) | From ₹100 | Digital-only tickets; playoff prices released separately |
| WPL 2027 | Not confirmed | Not announced | Not announced | Our prediction: from ₹100 |
Why WPL tickets are so cheap
The BCCI has never treated WPL gate money as a serious revenue line. Media rights and sponsorship pay the bills, so the board prices tickets to fill stands and build a habit of watching women’s cricket live. The inaugural season even offered free entry to women and girls, a policy carried over from India’s home T20Is against Australia in December 2022.
For context, ₹100 is a fraction of what entry-level IPL tickets usually cost. At that price point, demand is decided by stand capacity and the day of the week, not by what the ticket costs.
Premium seats and playoff tickets
The ₹100 figure is a floor, not a flat rate. Better stands have carried higher prices in some seasons, as the ₹400 top tier in 2023 shows. In 2026, tickets for the Eliminator, the final and three league games were held back and released later in a separate phase, so if your target match is a knockout, do not panic if it is missing on day one.
When Did WPL Tickets Go on Sale in Past Seasons?
The gap between “tickets on sale” and “first ball” has grown sharply. In the first season, fans got about three days’ notice. By 2026 that window had stretched to two full weeks, which suggests the BCCI is getting more organised about selling the league in advance.
| Season | Tickets opened | Opening match | Lead time |
|---|---|---|---|
| WPL 2023 | By 1 March 2023 | 4 March 2023 | About 3 days |
| WPL 2024 | 17 February 2024 (Bengaluru leg) | 23 February 2024 | 6 days |
| WPL 2025 | Exact date not clearly on record; on sale before the opener | 14 February 2025 | Not confirmed |
| WPL 2026 | 26 December 2025, 6:00 PM IST | 9 January 2026 | 14 days |
| WPL 2027 | Not announced | 14 January 2027 | To be confirmed |
Two other patterns stand out. First, sales have often opened leg by leg rather than all at once. In 2024, the Bengaluru matches went on sale before Delhi’s, and in 2026 a handful of fixtures were held back. Second, in 2026 the launch was set for an evening slot, 6:00 PM IST, rather than midnight or morning. If the BCCI keeps that habit, the evening of the announced date is when you need to be logged in.
If WPL 2027 copies the 2026 lead time exactly, booking would open around 31 December 2026, 14 days before the 14 January opener. Our full reasoning on the likely date is in the iSportsLeague take further down.
How to Book WPL 2027 Tickets Online
The exact process for 2027 depends on which ticketing partner the BCCI picks. The steps below follow the 2026 system, which was the most streamlined so far, and we will update them if anything changes once the official announcement lands.
Step-by-step (based on the 2026 process)
| Step | What to do |
|---|---|
| 1 | Install the official WPL app (Android or iOS) and the ticketing partner’s app. In 2026 that was District, and every ticket ended up stored inside the District app regardless of where it was bought. |
| 2 | Sign in and complete your profile in advance, with a verified mobile number and a working UPI or card, so you are not doing this while the queue moves. |
| 3 | Log in a few minutes before the announced sale time (6:00 PM IST in 2026). |
| 4 | Pick your city, then the match, then the stand. Check whether the seat price includes convenience fees. |
| 5 | Select the number of tickets. Past platforms have capped purchases per user (BookMyShow allowed up to 10 per booking in 2024). |
| 6 | Pay and confirm. The e-ticket appears in the app; screenshots may not be accepted at the gate. |
Three official channels were open in 2026: the District website and app, the official WPL website, and the WPL app. All three led to the same inventory, so there was no advantage in using one over another beyond speed.
Can you buy WPL tickets offline?
Sometimes. In 2025, stadium ticket counters sold tickets alongside BookMyShow. In 2026, reports said state associations would release some counter tickets subject to availability, but the official push was firmly digital. For 2027, offline sales have not been confirmed, so plan to book online and treat the box office as a backup.
Avoid resale and fake links
WPL tickets are cheap, which makes them an easy target for touts and fake “booking” pages. Only use links that come from the BCCI, wplt20.com or the named ticketing partner. If someone offers a ₹100 ticket for ₹1,000 on social media, it is either a scalped ticket that may be cancelled or a scam.
WPL Ticket Rules: Children, Refunds and Stadium Entry
The 2027 terms are not out yet, but the 2026 rules give a clear idea of what to expect. Read them before you pay, because the refund policy in particular catches people out.
| Rule | WPL 2026 policy |
|---|---|
| Children | Every child aged two or above needed a valid ticket. Under-twos entered free but got no separate seat. |
| Minors | Spectators under 18 had to be accompanied by an adult with a ticket. |
| Refunds | No cancellations or refunds once booked, except when a match was abandoned without a ball bowled. |
| Ticket format | Digital-only, shown on a mobile phone at the gate. No physical tickets. |
| Gate opening | Roughly two and a half hours before the first ball. |
| Re-entry | Generally not allowed once you leave the stadium. |
The no-refund rule matters more than usual in a January tournament. Mumbai evenings are pleasant at that time of year, but north Indian venues can see fog and dew. Rain-curtailed games where at least one ball is bowled have not qualified for refunds, so buy only for dates you are sure you can attend.
Charge your phone before you leave home. With digital-only entry, a dead battery can leave you stuck at the gate, and stadium charging points are not guaranteed.
WPL 2027 Venues and What They Mean for Tickets
The venue question is the biggest unknown for anyone planning to buy WPL 2027 tickets, because it decides both how many seats exist and how far you will travel. As of 20 October 2026, the BCCI has not officially confirmed any host city.
Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai
Brabourne, the home of the Cricket Club of India, is widely reported to be locked in as one venue. It has history in the league: it hosted the 2023 final and the 2025 Eliminator and final. It is a smaller, older ground than the DY Patil Stadium used in 2026, which means fewer seats per match and, very likely, faster sell-outs for big games.
Brabourne sits in Churchgate, within walking distance of the local train network, so travel is easy for fans across the city. That convenience, plus Mumbai Indians’ local following, could make it the hardest WPL 2027 ticket to get.
Kotambi Stadium, Vadodara (or Varanasi)
Reports say the BCCI is choosing between Vadodara’s Kotambi Stadium (officially the BCA Stadium, also called the Vadodara International Cricket Stadium) and a newly built stadium in Varanasi for the second leg. Kotambi has hosted WPL cricket in both 2025 and 2026, including the 2026 final, which drew close to 31,000 fans despite the ground being a 30 to 45 minute drive from the city.
Varanasi would be a brand-new WPL city if it is ready in time, which reports say is not yet certain. A first-time venue usually means huge local curiosity, so if Varanasi is picked, expect strong demand from Uttar Pradesh fans, particularly for UP Warriorz matches.
Why the venue matters for your booking plan
Smaller grounds mean you should book on day one. Grounds outside city limits, like Kotambi, mean you should factor in late-night travel home after an evening match. Until the schedule is out, the safest move is to keep the 14 January to 7 February window flexible and not book non-refundable travel.
Which WPL 2027 Matches Will Sell Out First?
Demand for women’s cricket in India has changed sharply in the last two years. India’s ODI World Cup win in 2025, at home, filled stadiums across the country, and that energy carried straight into WPL 2026. Here is how the five teams stack up as ticket draws.
| Team | WPL record | Ticket-demand angle |
|---|---|---|
| Royal Challengers Bengaluru | Champions 2024, 2026 | Defending champions; Smriti Mandhana is the league’s biggest crowd-puller |
| Mumbai Indians | Champions 2023, 2025 | Home-city advantage if Brabourne hosts; Harmanpreet Kaur’s side |
| Delhi Capitals | Runners-up 2023, 2024, 2025, 2026 | Four straight lost finals; a strong neutral storyline |
| Gujarat Giants | Eliminator 2026 | Local support if Vadodara hosts |
| UP Warriorz | Yet to reach a final | Big home pull if Varanasi is picked |
The marquee games
Any RCB vs MI match is the obvious first sell-out. Between them they own all four WPL titles, and the 2026 opener between the two was the curtain-raiser for a reason. RCB vs DC also carries extra weight after the 2026 final, when RCB chased 204, the highest successful chase in WPL history, with Mandhana and Georgia Voll adding 165, a league-record stand. Mandhana finished as the top run-scorer with 377 runs, while Sophie Devine was Player of the Series.
The 2024 season showed how quickly demand can spike. Tickets for RCB vs UP Warriorz in Bengaluru were gone within days of going on sale, and that was at a far bigger ground than Brabourne. For the full roll of honour, see our WPL winners list.
Weekends and the final
Weekend fixtures and the final will go fastest. The 2027 final falls on Sunday, 7 February, which should push demand even higher than the Thursday-night final in 2026. If your plan is to watch the final, set an alert for the playoff-phase release rather than assuming those tickets will drop with the league games.
WPL 2027 Season Context for Ticket Buyers
You do not need to follow every squad move to buy a ticket, but a few basics help you pick the right games. WPL 2027 is the fifth season, run by the BCCI, with five teams playing a double round-robin. That is 20 league games. The table-topper goes straight to the final, while the second- and third-placed teams meet in the Eliminator.
The playoff format has a ticketing quirk: you will not know which teams are in the knockouts when playoff tickets go on sale. In 2026, those tickets were released separately and closer to the dates. If you are a fan of one team, the league games are the only fixtures where you can be sure of watching your side.
Squads will be finalised at the mini-auction in Kochi on 28 October 2026, where 146 players (119 Indian, 27 overseas) are competing for 27 slots. Sophia Dunkley and Sophie Molineux are the two names at the top ₹50 lakh base price, and UP Warriorz go in with the biggest purse at ₹3.65 crore. Purses, slots and the full player pool are in our WPL 2027 auction guide.
Broadcast details for 2027 have not been announced. In 2026, Star Sports carried the matches on TV and JioHotstar streamed them, but that should not be assumed for 2027 until it is confirmed.
WPL 2027 and the Women’s Champions Trophy: A Busy February
WPL 2027 has a neighbour on the calendar. The inaugural ICC Women’s Champions Trophy runs from 14 to 28 February 2027 in Mumbai and Vadodara, with matches at the Cricket Club of India (Brabourne) and the Vadodara International Cricket Stadium at Kotambi. Six teams are in it: Australia, England, India, New Zealand, South Africa and Sri Lanka.
That overlap is good news for fans in those two cities. The same two grounds are being lined up for the WPL, which means the pitches, stands and entry systems will get a full WPL dress rehearsal before the ICC event. It also means a single month of top-level women’s cricket at the same venues, one week after the WPL final.
For ticket buyers, the practical point is to keep the two sales separate. The ICC has said ticketing for the Champions Trophy will be announced later, through its own channels. Do not assume a WPL ticketing partner will also sell ICC tickets, and do not trust any combined “WPL plus Champions Trophy” packages unless both organisers confirm them.
There is also a pricing signal here. The ICC priced India’s group games at the 2025 Women’s World Cup from ₹100, the same floor the WPL uses. With two governing bodies both chasing big crowds in the same cities within weeks of each other, a sudden jump in WPL entry prices would make little sense.
iSportsLeague take
Our prediction: WPL 2027 tickets will go on sale in the second half of December 2026, most likely between 24 and 31 December, with prices starting at ₹100. Here is the reasoning, stated plainly so you can judge it yourself.
1. The lead time has kept growing. Sales opened about 3 days before the 2023 opener, 6 days before the 2024 opener and 14 days before the 2026 opener. A board that has gone from 3 days to 14 is unlikely to go backwards. Applying the 2026 gap of 14 days to the 14 January 2027 start gives 31 December 2026, which we treat as the latest likely date.
2. The calendar is earlier this time. The 2027 auction is on 28 October, a full month earlier than the 2026 auction on 27 November. In 2026, tickets went on sale 27 days after the schedule was released. If the 2027 schedule follows the auction by a few weeks, a similar gap points to December, and possibly the first half of it. That earlier auction is the main reason we think sales could open sooner than 31 December.
3. ₹100 is close to a fixed policy. The entry price has not moved in four seasons, through two ticketing partners and six different host cities. The ICC is also using ₹100 floors for women’s events in India. We would be surprised to see the base price change, though premium stands could cost more.
4. Brabourne changes the urgency. If Brabourne hosts, there will be fewer seats per match than at DY Patil in 2026. Combine that with RCB and MI’s following and a Sunday final, and we expect several Mumbai games to sell out within hours. Our advice: have the app installed, the account verified and the payment method saved before sale day.
What would change our call: a delay in confirming venues past late November would push sales towards the first days of January, as would a mid-season switch in ticketing partner. We will revise this prediction as soon as the schedule is out.
WPL Tickets: Frequently Asked Questions
When will WPL 2027 tickets be available?
The BCCI has not announced a date yet. In the 2026 season, tickets went on sale on 26 December 2025 at 6:00 PM IST, two weeks before the opener. We expect WPL 2027 tickets to open in December 2026, and this page will be updated the day booking starts.
How much does a WPL ticket cost?
WPL ticket prices have started at ₹100 in every season from 2023 to 2026. Better stands and playoff games can cost more, and the 2023 season had a top tier of ₹400. Official prices for WPL 2027 have not been announced.
Where can I buy WPL tickets online?
In 2026, tickets were sold through the District app and website, the official WPL website and the WPL app, with every ticket stored in the District app. Earlier seasons used BookMyShow. The ticketing partner for WPL 2027 has not been named yet.
Are WPL tickets free for women?
Women and girls got free entry in the inaugural 2023 season, while men paid between ₹100 and ₹400. That has not been a confirmed league-wide policy in later seasons. There is no announcement yet on any free-entry scheme for WPL 2027.
Can I cancel a WPL ticket and get a refund?
Under the 2026 rules, confirmed bookings could not be cancelled or refunded. The only exception was a match abandoned without a single ball being bowled. Expect similar terms for 2027, and check the partner’s terms before paying.
Do children need a ticket for WPL matches?
In 2026, every child aged two or above needed a valid ticket. Children under two could enter free but did not get a separate seat. All spectators under 18 had to be with a ticket-holding adult.
Where will WPL 2027 matches be played?
Venues have not been officially confirmed. Mumbai’s Brabourne Stadium is widely reported as one host, with Vadodara’s Kotambi Stadium or a new stadium in Varanasi in contention for the second leg.
Can I buy WPL tickets at the stadium?
Stadium counters sold tickets in 2025, and some offline sales were mentioned in 2026, subject to availability. However, the league has moved towards digital-only tickets. Offline sales for WPL 2027 have not been confirmed, so booking online is the safer option.
