The official ISL 2026-27 Phase 1 fixtures were announced on 26 September 2026. Churchill Brothers play 12 matches in Phase 1, between 11 October 2026 and 15 January 2027 — seven at home and five away. Their first five ISL matches are all at the Fatorda Stadium, giving the new club a chance to settle in front of their own fans. All kick-off times are in Indian Standard Time (IST).

How Churchill Brothers Reached the ISL

Churchill Brothers’ route to the Indian Super League is one of the most unusual in Indian football. After Jamshedpur FC withdrew from the 2026-27 season, Tata Steel agreed on 14 August 2026 to transfer ownership of the Jamshedpur club company to Churchill Brothers for a token ₹100. The deal included Jamshedpur FC’s ISL sporting licence, 12 player contracts and two coaching staff contracts, and Churchill paid the league’s participation fee in full.

It completes a remarkable turnaround. Churchill topped the 2024-25 I-League table, but after a protest from Inter Kashi over an ineligible player, the Court of Arbitration for Sport awarded the title to Inter Kashi in July 2025. The AIFF then rejected Churchill’s ISL application in February 2026, and the club did not play in any national competition in 2025-26. Less than a year later, the Red Machines are in the top flight.
