Sharjah Warriorz ILT20 2026: Squad, Schedule and Ticket Booking Link

Sharjah Warriorz (originally spelled Sharjah Warriors) are one of two ILT20 teams still waiting for a first title, and they finished bottom last season with three wins from 10. For Season 5 they have a new head coach, Adrian Birrell, and an almost completely rebuilt squad.

They bought heavily from England, with Richard Gleeson, Paul Walter, Tom Banton, Craig Overton and Adil Rashid, and added Afghanistan all-rounder Mohammad Nabi. Sikandar Raza, James Vince, Adam Milne and Waqar Salamkheil, last season’s Best Bowler, came in before the auction. The Warriorz play seven of their 10 league games in Sharjah, level with Dubai Capitals (seven in Dubai) for the most at one ground.

This page has the full Sharjah Warriorz squad with auction prices, all 10 fixtures with India timings, the home-game calendar and how to book tickets. For every team’s fixtures, see the full ILT20 2026 schedule.

How Sharjah Warriorz have done in the ILT20

The Warriorz have never reached an ILT20 final. Tom Kohler-Cadmore was their standout batter in the early seasons, with 388 runs in 2025, and Johnson Charles and Adam Milne were key players that year too.

Season 4 was difficult. They won only three of 10 games and finished sixth, level on points with Gulf Giants but behind them on net run rate. Their three wins came against Gulf Giants, runners-up MI Emirates (by six runs) and Abu Dhabi Knight Riders, where Adil Rashid took 3 for 18 in a four-wicket win in Abu Dhabi.

The Warriorz made four direct signings before the auction and bought 19 players on 1 October 2026.

Squad analysis

Batting. Tom Banton, who scored two centuries for MI Emirates in Season 3, and James Vince, the second-highest run-scorer in ILT20 history, are a strong opening option. Sikandar Raza, James Rew and George Dockrell add depth in the middle order.

All-rounders. This is the deepest all-round squad in the league: Raza, Nabi, Paul Walter, Craig Overton, Brandon McMullen, George Linde and Logan van Beek can all bat and bowl.

Bowling. Richard Gleeson and Adam Milne bring genuine pace. Waqar Salamkheil (last season’s joint top wicket-taker with 18) and Adil Rashid give them two wrist spinners, with Nabi and Linde as finger-spin options. UAE quick Junaid Siddique, who signed a UAE-record deal a year ago, adds local experience.

Who’s gone. Season 4 captain Tim Southee is not in the Season 5 squad, so the Warriorz need a new captain. Vince and Raza are the most experienced leaders available.

Players to watch

  • James Vince. With 1,055 runs in the first three seasons, he is the second-highest run-scorer in ILT20 history, and has joined from Gulf Giants.
  • Waqar Salamkheil. Won the White Belt as Season 4’s Best Bowler and shared the wicket lead with 18.
  • Richard Gleeson. The Warriorz’ most expensive buy at $180,000.
  • Sikandar Raza. An all-rounder who has won matches in leagues all over the world, including a title-winning role for Dubai Capitals in Season 3.
  • Tom Banton. Made 493 runs with two centuries for MI Emirates in Season 3.

What stands out in the Sharjah Warriorz schedule

  • Seven games in Sharjah. The Warriorz play every league match held at Sharjah Cricket Stadium: five home games plus two “away” games against Gulf Giants and Desert Vipers. Only Dubai Capitals, with seven games in Dubai, match that.
  • Three home games to start. Their first three matches, including a back-to-back on 22 and 23 November, are all in Sharjah.
  • Earliest finish. Their last league match is on 11 December, three days before the league stage ends. They will have to wait for other results to know if they’ve qualified.
  • Back-to-backs. They play on 22 and 23 November, and on 8 December (in Dubai) and 9 December (in Sharjah).
  • Two afternoon games away. Both their away games in Abu Dhabi start at 3:30 PM IST.

Sharjah Warriorz ticket booking details

DP World ILT20 tickets, including Sharjah Warriorz games, are sold only through the league’s official ticketing partner, Virgin Megastore, at tickets.ilt20.ae and at Virgin Megastore outlets in the UAE. Season 5 tickets have not gone on sale yet. Last season they were released in mid-October, about six weeks before the first match.

How to book once sales open:

  1. Go to tickets.ilt20.ae, or the Tickets link on ilt20.ae.
  2. Choose the match, e.g. Sharjah Warriorz vs Desert Vipers, 23 November, Sharjah.
  3. Pick a stand or hospitality category.
  4. Add tickets to your cart and pay online.
  5. Keep the e-ticket on your phone for entry.

In past seasons, general stand tickets started at AED 20, tickets for children aged 6 to 16 started at AED 10, and children under five got in free. Season 5 prices will be confirmed when sales open. Sharjah is the smallest of the three grounds, so popular games can sell out quickly.

We’ll publish a full step-by-step ILT20 ticket booking guide with Season 5 prices for every venue as soon as tickets go on sale.
