Due to Corona Pandemic IPL 2020 i.e. Indian Premier League, 2020 is postponed for indefinitely. Now as ICC T20 World CUP is postponed for this year. BCCI and IPL committee are in plan to conduct the IPL 2020 between 26th September to 08th November 2020. It is Tentative Date for 13th Season. Which means 60 matches will be played in between 36 days.
This year there will no home and away match format. All the matches of Indian Premier League 2020 will be played on only 5 venues. Every day two matches will be played in this season of Indian Premier League 2020.
If World Cup Played Then Question Mark On IPL
World Cup 2020 will be played in October – November in Australia this year. ICC still not decided that World Cup 2020 will be canceled for this year or not. ICC will take decision on this issue next month. In Australia, fans are allowed inside the stadium with a capacity of 25% setting. Due to this decision, many are speculated that ICC World Cup 2020 will be played this year in Australia. If this happened then IPL 2020 will be postponed.
IPL 2020 Will Move Out Of India.
If everything will not be Okey and pandemic in India increased with time then it might be possible that IPL 2020 will move out of India. Two possible countries have invited to host the IPL 2020 on their stadium. One is the UAE and the other one is Sri Lanka. Many more countries also showed interested to host the IPL matches on their ground.
Change In IPL 2020 Format
This Year IPL 2020 will be played in a short time i.e. in 36 days a total of 60 matches will be played. So every day two matches will be played not like the previous season in which on Sunday and Saturday have two matches. Top 4 teams based on IPL 2020 Point Table will play the Semifinale and Final.
IPL Board and BCCI will take decision on international player playing in IPL this year.
After this tournament BCCI will also allows the domestic tournaments and regional CUP like KPL 2020, TNPL 2020, Ranji Trophy and many other series.
