The Durand Cup 2022 is the 131st edition of the Durand Cup, the oldest football tournament in Asia, and also the first edition since it got recognized by the Asian Football Confederation. The 2022 Durand Cup is hosted by the Durand Football Tournament Society.
This is the first season of the tournament wherein every club in the top tier Indian Super League has been mandated to participate, along with 5 selected clubs from the second division I-League, and the four teams representing the armed forces

FC Goa is the defending Champion of Durand Cup, They have defeated Mohammedan by 0-1. This season’s inaugural match will be played between Mohammedan and defending champion FC Goa in Salt Lake Stadium on 16th August 2022.
