The Kabaddi World Cup is an indoor international kabaddi competition conducted by the International Kabaddi Federation (IKF) in standard style, contested by men’s and women’s national teams. The competition has been previously contested in 2004, 2007 and 2016. All the tournaments have been won by India.
The current format of the competition involves a round robin group stage, with 6 teams in 2 pools, with the first and second place finishers of each group progressing to the semi-finals.
The Kabaddi World Cup was founded in 2004 in Mumbai while Panvel hosted the second edition in 2007. The last edition of the meet witnessed 12 nations including Kenya and Argentina and was held in Ahmedabad.
The next season of Kabaddi World Cup will be conducted in 2019 and it is expected that this tournament will take place in Dubai. For the first time, Kabaddi World Cup is going to organize to outside India. The International Kabaddi Federation (IKF) decided to organize the Kabaddi in Dubai in the hope that the world takes Kabaddi seriously.
Kabaddi World Cup 2019 Schedule
It is yet to be announced the date of Kabaddi World Cup Schedule and Venue. It is predicted that in the starting of 2019 it will conduct may be in January or February. IKF doesn’t seem to be in hurry to declare the date, they will go through every aspect so that kabaddi team from all over the world can participate.
In the last two years, Kabaddi has grabbed immersed position in Sports in India as viewership. No one has imagined that one day at the end of its fifth season of VIVO Pro Kabaddi League, it would have 313 million viewership in the year 2017.
Kabaddi Master League 2018 also conducted in Dubai in which 6 nations participated. All the matches were played at the Al Wasl Sports Club in Dubai. Kabaddi Master League 2018 was the successful event and organizer of IKF looking to host the Kabaddi World Cup also at the same venue.
India is defending champion in Kabaddi World Cup not only this India won all the world cup hosted till now.

Kabaddi World Cup Live Streaming and TV Broadcast
The event is not yet finalized but broadcast rights for the World cup is already sold. In India, all the matches of Kabaddi World Cup 2019 will telecast on Star Sports India. Sky Sports will stream all the live matches on TV in the United Kingdom. In Canada area, Ten 2 will telecast the Kabaddi World Cup 2019.
Venue and Schedule are still not finalized by IKF but is sure that Kabaddi World Cup will take place next years.
