Reliance Foundation Development League 2022 is the first edition of the Development League in India. It is the very first type and very much similar type of league to The Professional Development League managed by the Premier League. The inaugural edition of the Reliance Foundation (RF) Development League will take place in Goa from April 15 to May 12. The league will be the first-of-a-kind initiative in India that will provide a unique opportunity for emerging players to compete against the best talent in their age group from across the country.
The top two teams at the end of the league will travel to the United Kingdom to participate in the NextGen Cup tournament, hosted by the Premier League. The two teams from the RF Development League will clash against select PL youth clubs.
Seven ISL League teams have confirmed their participation in the first edition of the Reliance Foundation Development league
Bengaluru FC, Chennaiyin FC, FC Goa, Jamshedpur FC, Kerala Blasters FC, Mumbai City FC, and Hyderabad FC have confirmed their participation in this first of its kind initiative in India. Reliance Foundation Young Champs (RFYC) are on the other side to join the RFDL
