Steve Smith and David Warner are one of the most important players in Indian Premier League for their respective team. Both have reportedly been handed a 12-month ban by Cricket Australia (CA) for their involvement in the ball-tampering scandal that took place during the third Test of the ongoing four-match series against South Africa in Cape Town.

BCCI allowed both the teams (Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad) to choose any player as a replacement who went unsold during the 2018 IPL auction.
