Owner of Puneri Paltan Kailash Kandpal, this time managed to build the weaker section of the team. They purchased the star player Mohammadreza Shadloui Chiyaneh and managed to purchase some of the good players in the PKL 2025 auction.
Similar to the Haryana Steelers, Puneri Paltan retained most of their title-winning players from last season. All-rounder Aslam Inamdar, raiders Akash Shinde, Pankaj Mohite, and Mohit Goyat as well as defenders Sanket Sawant, Abinesh Nadarajan, Gaurav Khatri, and Vaibhav Kamble were all retained. They also made quality additions at the player auction by buying raider V. Ajith Kumar (INR 66 lac), defenders Vishal (INR 13 lac) and Mohit (INR 20 lac), as well as Iranian all-rounder Amir Hassan Noroozi (INR 13.40 lac). All the home matches of Puneri Paltan will be played at Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Pune. The complex is situated in Balewadi, Mahalunge Pune, about 14–15 km from Pune downtown and 4–5 km from Hinjawadi, Pune. This complex was the venue for the 2008 Commonwealth Youth Games. The seating capacity of this stadium is 4000.
