The players’ draft of the seventh edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is going to take place on 12th December 2021. The Players’ lists for the foreign player are revealed by the PSL 2022 Board. Some players will available for a short period due to other international commitments. All teams are ready to take part in the PSL 2022 Players draft.
The confirmed dates for the PSL 2022 Players Draft are December 12. The seventh edition of Pakistan’s T20 league will kick off in the fourth week of January next year. While the first phase of the tournament will be taking place in Karachi, the second leg of the tournament will be staged in Lahore.
In a first in PSL, right-to-match cards were introduced allowing PSL franchises to buy back a maximum of one player that they have released on the draft day by paying the respective fee against each category – Platinum (PKR 2.8 million), Diamond (PKR 1.75 million), Gold (PKR 1.4 million), Silver (PKR 0.8 million), Emerging (PKR 0.45 million). Each team was also allowed to pick two additional players in the supplementary round. The franchises also had the right to exercise one wildcard pick.
PSL Draft 2022 Player List
PSL Draft 2022 Player List is not announced by any team. It will be announced by the second week of December 2021.
As per the sources, around 356 foreign players will be part of the PSL 7 draft on 12th December. However, some top cricket names won’t be part of the PSL 7 due to international commitments.
Over the years, PSL as a T20 league has emerged as one of the best T20 leagues in the world. Several world-class cricketers participate in this tournament. It will be exciting to see who wins it this time around.
The six-team tournament has seen Islamabad United win the title on two occasions, the most by any side. Babar Azam has been the most successful batter in the history of the league, he has scored the most runs in PSL history (2070). Peshawar Zalmi’s Wahab Riaz has been the most successful bowler in the history of this league. He is the leading wicket-taker in the history of PSL as of now (94).

Shahid Afridi likely to play for the Quetta Gladiators in PSL 2022
Veteran Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi has reportedly moved to the Quetta Gladiators team ahead of the 2022 edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Shahid Afridi Traded from Multan Sultans to Quetta Gladiators
RTM card will be used for the First Time in PSL 7 Draft.
The drafting for Pakistan Super League’s (PSL) new season will take place on December 12 in National High-Performance Centre, Lahore.
According to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) sources, the decision was taken during a meeting chaired by PCB chairman Ramiz Raja. The participants also decided to start the tournament in the last week of January 2022.
Sources further revealed that the international players will arrive in Pakistan on January 15.
All the teams have been directed to report at Karachi’s private hotel on the same day.
