Pro Kabaddi League 2019 Season 7 List of Elite Retained Players Announced

PKL 2019 Retained Players List: Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) is one of the most successful league after Indian Premier League 2019 in India. After six highly successful seasons, the Pro Kabaddi League, India’s biggest domestic sporting league, gears up for yet another season of thrilling action, with the announcement of the ‘Elite Retained Players’. The League announced the players who would continue their association with their respective franchises for VIVO ProKabaddi Season 7 starting 19th October 2019.

While 29 players, including some of the league’s biggest stars, were retained by their respective teams, a host of the league’s elite talents like Rahul Chaudhari, Siddharth Desai and Monu Goyat among others will enter the Season 7 auction pool where the franchises will battle it out for their services ahead of the new campaign.

This Year total 9 Teams will play for the title of Pro Kabaddi League 2019 Season 7. It will great to see who will win this season. Currently, the title is with the Bengaluru Bulls. This season duration of PKL is going to extend for 3-4 months.

Recently Pro Kabaddi League started the hunt for the new kabaddi player for the upcoming season to make this league more impact full. You will see many new names in the auction of Pro Kabaddi League. Dates of Auction is not announced yet but it is expected that auction for the Pro Kabaddi League 2019 for the seventh season will be conducted in August or September.

TEAM: Elite Retained Players

The Player Retention Policy for Season 7 has been strengthened in line with the objective of building squad continuity and stability. The Elite Player Retention cap has been increased from a maximum of 4 to a maximum of 6. Franchises can retain up to 6 Elite Players from either category A, B or C, with a maximum of two each from Category A and B.

The VIVO Pro Kabaddi Season 7 auction is scheduled for the 8th and 9th of April.

The ‘Elite Player Retention’ framework is a key constituent to build team continuity for the longer term and the franchises were thus encouraged to retain key players of their choice for the upcoming season.

“The league is strongly in favor of team stability and instituting it at a policy level to enable strong team structures,” VIVO Pro Kabaddi League Commissioner Anupam Goswami said. “The player retention framework has been strengthened to encourage continuity and a longer-term association between player and franchise, to the benefit of both.

“Squad talent, formation, and development have always been a top priority for us. Interventions like ‘Elite Player Retention’ and the ‘Future Kabaddi Heroes’ programme will go a long way towards ensuring that VIVO Pro Kabaddi Season 7 offers the highest level of talent and competition for India’s own sport,” he concluded.
