Pakistan Super League, a franchise Twenty20 cricket league that was established by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in 2015 is going to schedule from 27th January 2022. It will be the seventh season of PSL also the third season of PSL to get fully conducted in Pakistan only. This time Pakistan Super League selected only two-venue to conduct the entire PSL season in Pakistan are Karachi and Lahore. Lahore and Karachi will both host 15 matches each, with the finals to be played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Karachi.
The complete schedule for the seventh season of the Pakistan Super League is released by PCB which can be seen on Pakistan Super League 2022 Schedule page. A total of 34 matches will be played in this 2022 PSL season. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and to ensure the health and safety of all participants by limiting unnecessary movement, 34-matches are to be equally played in Karachi and Lahore.
PSL 2022 players draft gets completed yesterday and after that PCB released the final squad of each franchise which can be seen below. In a first in PSL, right-to-match cards were introduced allowing PSL franchises to buy back a maximum of one player that they have released on the draft day by paying the respective fee against each category – Platinum (PKR 2.8 million), Diamond (PKR 1.75 million), Gold (PKR 1.4 million), Silver (PKR 0.8 million), Emerging (PKR 0.45 million). Each team was also allowed to pick two additional players in the supplementary round. The franchises also had the right to exercise one wildcard pick.
