TOSS: Ireland have won toss and elected to bow first
The players to look for in the Indian squad are skipper Ishan Kishan, Sarfaraaz Khan, Ricky Bui and many others who have performed well recently in the domestic circuit. Meanwhile, the Irish camp also have some promising names in the side with the likes of Jack Tector, Stephen Dohen and many others.
The Indian skipper Kishan recently admitted that he would like to lift the trophy like Virat Kohli and Unmukt Chand who won the World Cup as India’s Under-19 skippers in 2008 and 2012 respectively.
“In 2008 and 2012 India won the Under-19 World Cup. There’s been a four-year gap so people are expecting that from me,” Kishan said.” It is not that big of a pressure on me but I am really enjoying this moment. Strength of my team is that almost every batsman can bowl. We have a pace bowling attack that’s good. We have a good fielding unit. Our batting goes till No 8, which is a plus point. It will help us in the matches,” Kishan said.
