{KXIP vs RCB} Kings XI Punjab vs Royal Challengers Banglore Team strength and weakness
Kings XI Punjab strengths: Under the new leadership of Maxwell, KXIP are looking like a different unit altogether. They have a balanced unit and it is their strength.
With the likes of Maxwell, Miller, Hashim Amla, Marcus Stoinis around, their middle order looks to have the required batting firepower.
Someone like Eoin Morgan had to sit out in their first game, this shows the firepower of the KXIP batting order.
Besides these, they have Virender Sehwag, who is the mentor of this team. His presence in the dugout and guidance are the real assets for the KXIP boys.
There is variety in their bowling as well. The likes of Axar, Swapnil create a good spin combination.
In the pace department, they have Mohit Sharma, Sandeep Sharma, Darren Sammy, Anureet Singh, Varun Aaron and the impressive seamer from Tamil Nadu, T Natarajan.
They have also added Ishant Sharma to their line-up as a replacement for Murali Vijay, who has been ruled out of IPL 10 due to a shoulder injury.
Kings XI Punjab weaknesses: Going into the event the top order batting seemed like a weakness for KXIP, but Manan Vohra and Hashim Amla did fairly well in the first game.
AT number three, Wriddhiman Saha is also a decent enough batsman. Thus, currently, this issue seems to be sorted for this team.
However, lack of experience in bowling is one weakness which can hurt KXIP, like it did in the last game when the likes Ben Stokes and Manoj Tiwary go some quick runs towards the end overs.
Against RCB, this inexperienced bowling line-up might struggle once again.
Royal Challengers Bangalore strengths: Batting has always been RCB’s main strength. Even without the presence of Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers RCB have enough batting firepower.
The likes of Chris Gayle, Shane Watson, Kedar Jadhav are capable enough to do the job.
Royal Challengers Bangalore weaknesses: The RCB team is missing their big stars and it this their major weakness. The bat of the big hitting Chris Gayle was also silent in the first two games of the season.
RCB quickly need to get their mojo back.
