IPL Auction 2019: 5 Costliest Player in IPL 2019 Auction

IPL 2019 Auction completed and we have seen many up and down with many turns and twist in the auction. Total 60 players are brought by 8 teams out of 351 Teams. In 60 players, total 20 players are overseas players.

Here we are going to list out top 5 costliest player who are picked by Indian Premier League’s Teams for IPL 2019.

1. Jaydev Unadkat

Jaydev Unadkat an Indian pace bowler grabs the attention of IPL Team Owners during Indian Premier League 2019 auction which held at the Jaipur on 18th December 2018.

In IPL 2018 Auction, Jaydev Unadkat was the top Indian grosser in the 2018 edition at Rs 11.5 crore, was bought back for a whopping Rs 8.40 crore by the Rajasthan Royals. Playing for the same outfit last season, Unadkat featured in 15 games and claimed 11 wickets.

2. Varun Chakaravarthy

Varun Chakaravarthy is a little-known face who emerged as one of the biggest surprises of the IPL 2019 auction after he was sold for a whopping Rs 8.4 crore to the Kings XI Punjab.

This youngest all rounder player shows the talent skills during Tamil Nadu Premier League when he played a pivotal role in Madurai Panthers’ title victory. IPL 2019 team owners shown interested and Kings XI Punjab purchased this players at Rs. 8.4 crores.

3. Sam Curran

Samuel Matthew Curran is an English cricketer, who becomes the most expensive foreign player in IPL 2019 Auction. Samuel came in light when he took four wickets in India’s first innings and then scored a half-century in the Edgbaston Test, which won England the Test and Curran the Man-of-the-Match award.

Base price for Sam Curran was 2 crores.

4. Colin Ingram

Delhi Capitals who changed the team name recently from Delhi Daredevils purchased the Colin Ingram at Rs. 6.4 crore. Colin was also purchased by Delhi Capitals during IPL 2011 Auction.

It will great to see how much Colin will perform this year.

5. Carlos Brathwaite

Carlos Brathwaite is one of the most favorite players during IPL 2019 auction. All Teams shown interest in buying this West Indies’ swashbuckling allrounder player. After an intense bidding battle among the teams, the Caribbean all-rounder was sold for Rs 5 crore to the Kolkata Knight Riders

Last season Carlos is in Sunrisers Hyderabad at Rs. 2 Crore.

Along with these players, Axar Patel (Rs 5 crore – Delhi Capitals) and Mohit Sharma (Rs 5 crore – Chennai Super Kings) are also purchased at the IPL 2019 auction which is consider as most expensive players for the Indian Premier League.
