Four players Royal Challengers Bangalore might retain ahead of the 16th edition of Indian Premier League. IPL 2023 will commence within 10 months from now. Royal Challengers Bangalore, who have never won a title in this lucrative league had a mixed journey in the recently concluded 15th edition of Indian Premier League. But some players performed really well and RCB management might retain them ahead of the IPL auction 2023.

Royal Challengers Bangalore played some good cricket in IPL 2022 however, they lost the crucial playoffs match which saw them out of the competition. They had a well balanced team in IPL 2022 but RCB will surely look to retain these players ahead of the IPL auction 2023.

Let’s have a look at four players RCB might retain:-

VIRAT KOHLI

Virat Kohli has been the most talented batsman in the world in last few years. The impact he had on RCB is no short of outstanding. However, he did not live up to the expectations in IPL 2022 as he only managed to pile up 341 runs in the whole season but his spot will remain big boots to fill so Royal Challengers Bangalore management will surely retain him ahead of the Indian Premier League auction 2023.

FAF DU PLESSIS

Faf du Plessis is one of the most talented batsmen the world has seen over the last few years. He scored 443 runs in recently concluded IPL 2022 and he will continue to lead the team in IPL 2023. If he leaves, that void will remain unfilled so RCB will love to retain him ahead of the IPL auction 2023.

DINESH KARTHIK

Dinesh Karthik can easily secure his spot in the top five players who have done very well in IPL 2022. Right-hander smashed 287 runs in just 9 innings at a tremendous strike rate of 192. Royal Challengers Bangalore were in desperate need of a power-hitter and they have found one. RCB will look to retain him before IPL auction 2023.

WANINDU HASARANGA

Royal Challengers Bangalore roped in Sri Lankan star all-rounder for 10.75 crores in the mega IPL auction 2022. He bagged 26 wickets in 16 innings. He was the second highest wicket-taker of IPL 2022 and highest wicket-taker for RCB. He provides extra batting depth as well so RCB will look to have him back before the IPL auction 2023.
