Shreyas Iyer, the captain of Kolkata Knight Riders had a very good season with the bat in the recently concluded 15th edition of Indian Premier League. He provided the stability to KKR batting lineup by batting well in the middle-order. His leadership skills were also impressive so KKR management will surely retain him ahead of the IPL auction 2023.
ANDRE RUSSEL
Andre Russel was brilliant both with the bat and ball in the IPL 2022. West Indian legend piled up 335 runs in 12 innings and also took 17 wickets which made him the franchises highest wicket-taker in IPL 2022. Given his special all-round performance, Kolkata Knight Riders management will almost surely retain him before Indian Premier League auction 2023.
Nitish Rana of Kolkata Knight Riders also had a very good season. He was a prolific run-scorer for Kolkata Knight Riders. Southpaw piled up 361 runs in 14 outings at an average of 28 and strike rate of 143. Nitish Rana has done exceptionally well over the years for Kolkata Knight Riders so he is expected to be retained before IPL auction 2023.
UMESH YADAV
Umesh Yadav had a productive 15th edition of IPL. Right-arm pacer bagged 16 scalps in 12 outings and was also franchise’s second highest wicket-taker. He has a brilliant ability to take wickets with the new ball and is also a useful bowler at death. His heroics in 15th edition of Indian Premier League might see him back in IPL 2023
