IPL 2022: Expected Retain Players Ahead Of Mega Auction

5) Delhi Capitals

The Delhi Capitals have been one of the most improved sides of late. The talented players in their squad have always stepped up whenever necessary. However, with the mega auction coming up, they will have to bid adieu to most of them.

Nevertheless, they can still build a new side around their core. Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant have been the face of the franchise and thus, DC wouldn’t want to let go of either of them. This solves their captaincy issue as both of them are proven leaders for the franchise.

Kagiso Rabada is a class act and thus, he would be their first and only overseas player they retain. This is mainly because he has been one of the best players on the side since 2019. Thus, one wouldn’t want their best player to leave their side.

Expected Retentions: Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer, Shikhar Dhawan, Kagiso Rabada
