Openers: Shubhman Gill & Rahmanullah Gurbaz
Shubhman Gill and Rahmanullah Gurbaz are hot contenders for the opening spot for Gujrat Titans in the IPL 2022.
Shubhman Gill was an important member of KKR in the last few seasons, now he has to take extra responsibilities given the inexperienced batting lineup of Gujrat Titans. Rahmanullah Gurbaz on the other end is an explosive batsman so he needs to perform well throughout the season to make Gujrat Titans more competitive.
Middle-order: Wriddhiman Saha (WK), David Miller and Abhinav Manohar
This is the most sensitive part of the Gujarat Titans’ batting lineup. The combination of Wriddhiman Saha and David Miller seems stronger than Wade and Shankar. So they are expected to go with the Saha-Miller combination in the middle order to keep their batting lineup more settled. Abhinav Manohar has been a very good finisher for Karnataka, he went under the hammer for 2.6 crores during the mega auction. He will play a finisher role in Gujrat Titans batting lineup.

Gujrat Titans have a solid all-rounded group with hard-hitting captain Hardik Pandya, Jayant Yadav will also play a pivotal role. Now the question arises, will they go with all three all-rounders or will they pick a pacer instead to solidify their pace attack. It is expected that Jayant Yadav might replace Rahul Tewatia in the playing XI as he has more control over his bowling and bowls good economic overs.

This is a department where Gujrat Titans need to worry less. They will have the services of speedsters like Lockie Ferguson and Mohammad Shami. Both of them have the ability to swing the ball and they also bowl well in the death overs. Let’s not forget the champion spinner Rashid Khan who was retained for a whopping amount of INR 15 crores ahead of the auction. He is a very economical bowler and can give breakthroughs when the team needs him. Apart from his bowling, he is also very useful with the bat. He can hit some biggies at the back end of the innings.
