The 2022 Men’s ICC T20 World Cup is scheduled to be the eighth ICC Men’s T20 World Cup tournament, scheduled to be played on 16 October 2022 and 19 November 2022 in Australia. Initially, it was planned to conduct the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in India. Later due to the Covid-19 pandemic it was moved to Australia. Now finally ICC T20 World Cup 2022 is going to conduct in Australia.
Australia is defending champions of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022. Seven venues in Australia are selected to host the ICC T20 World Cup 2022.

ICC announced the T20 World cup 2022 Schedule & qualification pathway. The twelve teams that reached the Super 12 phase of the 2021 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup automatically qualified for the 2022 tournament. They will be joined by the top two teams from each of the two Global Qualifiers. The Global Qualifiers will have a total of sixteen teams; the bottom four teams from the 2021 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, the next four highest-ranked T20I sides (Zimbabwe, Nepal, the United Arab Emirates, and Singapore), and the eight teams that progress from the Regional Final.
In the ICC T20 World Cup qualifier match Zimbabwe and the United Arab Emirates qualified for the ICC T20 World Cup 2022.
A total of 16 teams are participating in this event in group-wise. India will face the first match against Pakistan on 23rd October 2022.

ICC T20 2022 World Cup Format
The format of the 8th season of the ICC T20 World Cup is new. This time all the participating team is divided into two groups. Each group is spearheaded by a team. Sri Lanka and Bangladesh is the leader of Group A and B. Papua New Guinea, Ireland, and Oman will join Sri Lanka in Group A while Netherlands, Namibia, and Scotland will join Bangladesh in Group B. The top two teams from both groups will qualify for the Super 12 stage.

ICC T20 World Cup 2022 Venue
ICC locked the seven cities of Australia to host the T20 World Cup 2022. Seven cities are Adelaide, Brisbane, Geelong, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth, and Sydney. The first semi-final is scheduled to be held at the Sydney Cricket Ground on November 9 and Adelaide Oval will host the second on November 10. The final is slated to be held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground under lights on November 13.
