ICC Champions Trophy 2021 Schedule, Time Table, Teams | Squad | Fixtures | India Cricket Team 2021: ICC announce the ninth edition of ICC Champions Trophy scheduled to play from 21st October to 14th November 2021 in India. A total of TOP 8 national cricket teams will participate in the prestigious ODI tournament. Pakistan is the title-defending champion in the tournament as they won 2017 ICC Champions Trophy by defeating India.
India and Pakistan are once again paired in the same group with South Africa and Sri Lanka the other two. While Australia, England, New Zealand and Bangladesh are in group 1. Below is the entire schedule of the 2021 ICC Champions event.

ICC Champions Trophy is the second tier international cricket competition behind the 50-over World Cup and Twenty20 World Cup. Started back in 1998 so far 7 champions trophy editions has been taken place. From 1998 to 2006 it used to take place every 2 years but ICC decided to make the period between Champions Trophy 4 years. The last edition took place back in 2017 in England where Pakistan won it and next one will be in 2021.
As far as the qualified teams are concerned only the Top 8 teams in ICC’s ODI ranking take part champions trophy. For 2021 edition ICC declared 30th September as the cut-off date for 30th September when the Top 8 teams qualified for the 2021 event. West Indies who were 9th in ODI ranking by 30th September 2016 failed to qualify and Bangladesh will return to Champions Trophy for the first time since 2006 having finished 7th in the rankings on the cut-off date.
ICC Champions Trophy Schedule & Dates: The initial dates for 2017 edition has been announced. The tournament will take place in India from 21st October to 14th November 2021. A total of 15 matches will be played including 12 group games, 2 semifinals and the final on 14th June at Mumbai.
BCCI will announce the venues and the final fixture list by December 2020 and the tickets for Champions Trophy will go on sale after the draw for the group stages has been made.

Venues
England Cricket Board proposed Cardiff, Edgbaston, and The Oval to ICC is hosting venues for Champions trophy and the International Cricket Council Committee approved proposed venues when announced fixtures of 2017 Champions Trophy on 1st June 2017.
The Oval will be hosting CT final on 18th June.
