Global T20 Canada 2023 Schedule: The Global T20 Canada is a T20 (Twenty20) cricket tournament in Canada. It is owned by Mercuri Canada Limited, an offshoot of Mercuri Talent Management, run by Sriram Bakthisaran, an Indian entrepreneur. This league is based on the Indian Premier League but it has maximum foreign players.
Due to Covid-19, Global T20 Canada (GT20 Canada) is suspended for 3 years. Now we will see GT20 Canada once again on the right track to deliver the entertainment.
Scheduled to take place in Brampton from July 20 to August 06, the tournament will feature six teams competing against each other, following the same format as the previous season.
The highly anticipated season will kick off on Thursday, July 20, with a nail-biting clash between defending champions Vancouver Knights and the home team, Toronto Nationals.
The venue and schedule have been finalized and released. The grand finale is set to take place on August 06, 2023, at the CAA Centre, Brampton.
The player draft for the third edition of Global T20 Canada was held at the prestigious ITC Grand Maratha in Mumbai, India. The draft saw each franchise team selecting their squads of 16 members from a pool of over 1000+ players who had registered. Each team could have six international players including two marquee stars, four players from Associate Nations, and six Canadians.
