CPL 2020 New Schedule Out Now | Caribbean Premier League Fixtures: Schedule for the New Caribbean Premier League 2020 is declared by the WICB (West Indies Cricket Board). CPL or CPL T20 is an annual Twenty20 cricket tournament held in the Caribbean under the board of WICB.
It is one of the popular twenty20 league in the world like the Indian Premier League. With every season CPL is growing as a successful T20 League and now it enters into the eighth season. The eighth season of the Caribbean Premier League is going to start from 18th August and it will finish on 10th September 2020. During this time there are no international fixtures at all for the West Indies, meaning their players are free to play in this tournament if they wish, for the whole duration of it.
In the 2020 edition of CPL total of six teams are fighting for the trophy. All six teams boosted their squad by snapping big names. Fans are very eager to see their favorite international player playing in the CPL 2020. The management of CPL 2020 has revealed that the whole tournament will be played in Trinidad only as the CPL 2020 venue and the main reason is that it’s the least impacted country in the Caribbean Region related to the virus. They also said that CPL 2020 will be played behind closed doors. So no audience in this event too.
The first match of CPL 2020 will be played in between Trinbago Knight Riders and Guyana Amazon Warriors at Brian Lara Stadium, Trinidad on August 18, 2020.
