ATK Mohun Bagan FC is an Indian professional football club based in Kolkata, West Bengal. The club competes in Indian Super League, one of the top flights of Indian football. It was established on 15th August 1889, Mohun Bagan Athletic Club is one of the oldest clubs in India and the World. ATK FC was founded in May 2014 to represent Kolkata in the Indian Super League (ISL). In July 2020, the Football section of Mohun Bagan AC and ATK FC came together to form a company under the banner ATK Mohun Bagan FC.
The principal owner of ATK Mohun Bagan is RPSG Group chairman, Sanjiv Goenka, Sourav Ganguly, with Utsav Parekh and Mohun Bagan AC serving as the co-owners. ATK Mohun Bagan FC is previously known as ATK and before that, it was named Atlético de Kolkata.
ATK is one of the strongest clubs in the Indian Super League. This team won the three times ISL titles in 2014, 2016, ad 2019-2020. Under coach Antonio López Habas, Atlético hosted and won the first match of the Indian Super League. They won the inaugural season, beating Kerala Blasters 1–0 in the final. Two years later, under José Francisco Molina, the team won on penalties against the same opponent in the final. ATK Mohun Bagan FC is one of the strongest clubs in all the ISL clubs.
