Finally, BCCI allows 50% of the fans to watch the upcoming first test match between India and Sri Lanka at the PCA Stadium, Mohali. It will begin on the 4th March 2022. It will be also iconic in a way as it will be the 100th Test match for Virat Kohli. So finally Virat Kohali fans can watch their favorite idol playing the 100th test match at the stadium.
For the Test match, only the online sale of tickets will be allowed and it is set to begin from Wednesday onwards. “We got the communication from BCCI about the allowing of fans for the 1st Test match at Mohali. So far, we will allow the online sale of tickets from Wednesday onwards. Fans will be there to watch Virat Kohli play his 100th Test match.” said RP Singla, treasurer, PCA told the Indian Express.
For the recently concluded T20I series, where two matches were held at Dharamsala, fans were able to book the tickets at Bookmyshow.com. The minimum price capped for the spectators was priced at Rs 750 and the maximum was Rs 7500 depending on the seats.
The last time a Test match was played at this venue was back in 2016 when India faced England. During this Test, the PCA kept the rates of the chair and Student blocks tickets at Rs. 100/ for all the days. From Rs. 100, the prices went to Rs.3000 for the corporate box.
